Abstract

In today's world, nanotechnology holds significant importance both in daily life and in the field of sports. With the advancement of technology, nanotechnology has gained increasing prominence, particularly within the sports industry. Due to its usability in terms of performance, safety, and comfort, interest in nanotechnology continues to grow day by day. This study presents examples of materials used in sports that incorporate nanotechnology, aiming to create safer sporting environments alongside enhanced athletic performance through these products. The demand for sports products that offer improved performance and efficiency has been evident for many years, and nanotechnology has opened new avenues for the development of functional sportswear and equipment. The primary objective of this study is to provide a general overview of the applications of nanotechnology across various areas of sports, with a particular focus on sports surfaces, clothing, equipment, and footwear. Additionally, the study explores in detail several key properties imparted to sportswear through nanotechnology. In line with current trends, it is anticipated that all types of sports equipment will undergo a nanotechnological revolution in the near future.
